"Yes, Malum..." Kaene whined in a depressed voice. She slumped her shoulders in desperation and dispair. Her sarcastically depressed voice got a small smile out of the tall leader.
He straightened himself up and stared across the room. Broken glass, squabbling sisters, and an agenda that inculdes 'Friday Night Sock Races'... this is the group fighting for the world?!.... Heh... I suppose I'd have it no other way.. well, maybe a few more minions by about... a thousand or so? Malum asked himself, walking over to a wall and leaning against it in his 'I'm too cool for you' way he got whenever he first came to this base. "Grimm, status report, EL, write down all the drinking games you know-" A shocked look came from the striking image of Grimm in her older sister. Really... I need to ask her if they're clones or not... Malum thought, continuing, "Yes, all of them! Janessa, try to figure out a new way to recruit- not Neopets, plz," he said, not using any vowel sounds in the last word.
Janessa, who had wandered in behind Malum, nodded curtly and briskly walked out, to the left. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Status report on Grimm or status report on Ooska?" she asked, getting up, once again, her voice changing to match the stituation at hand.
"Grimm," he said, getting off the wall and grabbing her upper arm with his hand. "Now." He was strangely demanding, but Kaene knew this was something that mattered to him if he was serious enough to touch her... Kaene isn't the 'touchy' type.
Kaene followed as Malum lead her roughly out of the room, getting EL to look up from her furious writings. Thoughts raced through Kaene's mind as Malum dragged her out, but most of them were about how the stange shadows moving along the walls that Kaene watched out of the corner of her eye. Hitokiri Susamanji... she thought, seeing them follow her and Malum in a gagged line across the wall to the left of Kaene. He's not tryng very hard at all... maybe he wants me to know he's here...
Malum looked around him and nodded. He let go of Kaene's arm and turned around to look at her now intense brown eyes. "Look here, I don't know where you've been going, I'm not to sure I want to know... But you're acting strangely.... Grimm," he said, leaning down to her. "What's wrong? You're always looking over your shoulder, you're always jumpy whenever I come up behind you... What is going on? You're changing Grimm. And I don't know if it's for the better..."

A shadow jumped from one wall to the next from the corner of her eye and a small smirk played across her usuallly(when in this mood) blank expression. "For our means and for our goals.... I assure you... It is most definately, a good thing," she told him in her 'Grimm' tone. The shadow stopped its moving and a deep chuckle resonated through the hallway.

A tall teen of about 16 or 17 walked out of the shadows, a twisted smile spread across his(now) usually emotionless expression. "Hello... Malum..." he said in a coldly happy voice. His clothing was reletively normal, if slightly... darker themed. His shirt was loose on him and long sleeved, but it still showed his slightly heavy build of 'If I hit you, you won't wake up' muscle, cargo pants, dark blue, that were baggy, but still easy to move in. From experiances with him, Grimm knew he had a weapon on him somewhere, most likely one up both of his sleeves. Malum backed up slowly stood with his mouth open, looking at the teen.
The new one walked behind Grimm and put his arm around her in a half-hug. "Hey, kiddo," he said with a les twisted smile as he ruffled up her hair with his other hand. A long silence followed as Malum stood there dumbstruck. He took a step further back and closed his mouth. Anger soon rose on his normally calm or amused face.
"GRIMM! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?! YOU TOOK SOMEONE WHO I'VE NEVER MET, WHO I SURELY WILL NOT APPROVE OF-" Malum began to yell, thrusting his fist in the air. The teen sighed and gave Grimm's shoulders one last squeeze before holding his hands up to shut Malum up.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" he said in a raised voice, Malum instantly stopping in mid rant, his fist midway in the air. "Dude, Malum. You don't remember me? It's Zach..." Obviously not triggering a memory in Malum's mind he sighed and took a glance around the room. "Crow?"
Malum's eyes widened and he lowered his fist with a look of horror and happiness crossing over his face. He backed up even further, Crow stepping closer to him with every step he took back. ****

**** A single ray of moonlight illumanated the room, but even the ray, which stood out against the inky darkness, could not distract you from the overwhleming sense of pressure that was there. The furniture was shredded and overturned. Blood was splattered on the walls, and a growing pool of it was on the floors. The dark, life giving liquid was pouring out of a boy of 14 who had a crudely slashed neck. His head was being cradled in the lap of someone two years older. "Hold on, they're coming... don't die on me... don't die on me..." she whispered to him with a slight quiver in her voice. She stroked his hair as he stared up to her with increasingly dull eyes. With his last once of strength his reached up with a blood stained hand and ran it down the side of her face, finally he smiled weakly and his hand fell down to his side. His eyes were still open as he almost did not utter his last words. "Live long." he ordered the girl who had, by now, tears silently streaming down her face.
A tall boy a year older than her ran in with people behind him. His mouth dropped as he saw the girl's tears splatter the younger boy's cheek. "Grimm... Is he...?" A surpressed sob from Grimm answered his question. "Oh... Grimm..." he said, walking over to her with a slump to his shoulders and drag to his feet. "C'mon, we'll get you cleaned up..." He placed his hands on her shoulders and tried to get her up.
"No."
"Allison... be reasonable..."
"No. Malum, I'm not leaving him..."
"You're in no state to take care of a body..."
Grimm striaghted her back and looked up to Malum with her drying tears still clinging to her lashes. "he was closer to me than my brother, Malum... ever lose someone that close to you?... I just need some time... alone with him... " Normally, he would make a necrophilia joke, but he'd never seen Grimm cry before. And he didn't like it.
He left them, seeing Grimm place her hands on the side of his face and her forehead on his, a louder sob escaping her lips. ***

Malum was up against the wall, visably frightened. His veins in his neck were throbbing as he gulped loudly and balled his hands into fists. "Why... why did you come back?... more importantly, how?" His voice was cracked and dry, almost as if he was straining against some unknown force to speak. He looked at Crow, who was smiling weakly and rubbing the back of his head with his hand. Malum was still on the wall, but was calming down slightly. With a alabaster handplaced on his shoulder, Crow sighed and backed up slowly.
"My work is not done yet, Malum. And blame Grimm for bringing me back and focring me to stay on this Hell hole, until she deems me ready to leave." He placed an arm back around Grimm as a flash of anger was barely seen on his face before soon being replaced by a calm smile.
Malum saw it, blinked, and it was gone. "Explain." he ordered, swallowing and crossing his arms to shed the final, visable sign of fear.
"No." Grimm answered flatly, laying her head on Crow's forearm. If I told you... you'd hate me... and then... we'd not be able to achieve our means...

"And why not?" Malum asked in an annoyed tone. "Do you know what we could do if we could bring back the dead?" He unfolded his arms and placed one hand on his temple and leaned against the wall once more. It was the middle of the day, but he was so tired...
"If I told you..." Grimm said grimmly, smiling sweetly to Malum and keeping her head on Crow's forearm. "I'd have to mercy kill you from the nightmares.... and the sheerly horrifying thought of your first officer even doing anything remotely close to this right under your God fearing nose..."
"Whatever..." Malum said, his head paining him suddenly and he did not want to argue with Grimm. Normally, they would argue for a fun debate, and he would let her have some fun by making her think she was winning. On occasion, he would not feel like playing and knock her ideas down with one blow. This did not happen often as they shared the same views on many things. But whenever he was feeling depressed, was tired, or was having a headache, she would beat him. And on this issue, she was not going to budge. "I'm going to sleep... Wake me up at eleven..."
"If you say so. Sleep tight, don't let the Twidit bite." Grimm waved largely, changing her tune in an instant once more. Her smile was big and goofy as Malum raised a hand in return and turned to his quarters to get some well deserved sleep.

As Malum disappeared and his boots' sound was gone, Crow threw his head back and laughed loudly. "God, Brittnee, could you be more obvious?" he asked with genuin humor in his voice.
"Maybe, but the could be said to you, bro..." Grimm replied, picking Crow's arm off her shoulder and turning towards the room she had just left with Malum. "C'mon, EL would die if she knew you were living..."
*****
Grimm walked into the room as she saw Miss Morbid, as she called her, reading over Ashley's shoulder. "What's the point of tossing a dirty penny into a glass of vodka?" she asked innocently, getting a cold chuckle from Ashley.
"The vodka gives you a shiny penny... and a hang over..."

Wow! Rewriting this so that the boy who I resurrected will be nameless and Malum's girl will be nameless as well. Makes life easier. And making it more realistic.
Lar will also run our other base, where Nessa will be stationed.
