Who am I? No, no, no, my friend- it is ‘What am I?’ Names mean nothing, and neither do titles…. But, I shall humor you. Some say hero… other’s say traitor… and yet, few say what I want them to… Human…
I am not what they make me out to be… I am not a war goddess, I never will be. I have lost just as many battles as I have won, just not the important ones.
Now, for my beginnings, I actually started on Earth- yes, that boring little planet. Now, my friend, listen to my story…
"Loup! Wake up, something has happened!" my roomy and honorary sister, Kiera, yelled in my ear.
"Wassat?" I asked groggily bolting up and throwing off the covers, not realizing that I fell asleep in my under ware. (No, I do not wear thongs...)
"Leo and Skip, they failed," she explained, throwing a normal military uniform at me. I pulled on my pants and was buttoning my shirt up as quickly as I could whenever I ran out the door to the main office....
Now, let me explain something. My friends and I were sons and daughters of people who were, basically, spies. My parents were caught on a mission about ten years before the current time in this part of my- no, our story. We were trained since the age of three in special areas. I will get into those while they are needed.
Much to my displeasure it was only 4:48AM. So, needless to say, we made quite a scene running down the hall to get to our hangar. We have a small task force of airplanes in our little hangar; form a small bomber to a C-17. *Author note: C-17!! ~DROOL~ I love ya’ my lil’ big airplane. * We mainly have quick stealth planes that can go from New York to LA in a matter of half an hour.
A Blackbird landed and it’s pilots got out hastily. The first one got out and shook his mane of shoulder length dusty brown hair; he was soon followed by a teen around his height with ear length curly raven hair. “Lou, Kier, No!” they said at the same time jumping out of the cockpit and running to us.
“What are you talking about, Col. Noala-“ I was cut off by a cool, smooth voice behind me.
“Is very angry,” she said, her face nor voice not showing it. “You four, in my office, now,” she ordered, turning heel and walking extremely quickly. Her wavy auburn pulled into a ponytail at the nape of her neck, it bounced as she walked in her normal way- quickly and uniformly.
“Hodamn….” I said, think about what she could be mad at. “How big was this thing again?” I asked the boys who seemed to be oddly tense for them.
“Like…. A war?” Leo, the dusty haired one, asked Skip with a grim look on his usually calm face. Skip nodded, chewing on his tongue, a habit of his when he was worried.
“Listen guys, you know what happens when only two fail a mission…” Skip said, frowning at Kiera and I. “I think No my go easy, but the Generals have been getting on her lately…” he added, trailing off.
We all walked silently down the hall following our Colonel. Her wavy auburn hair was catching the lights as she pulled it into a bun for the generals, as so they would not criticize her. “General Toumoku, I come with the ones you requested,” Col. Noala said blandly, stepping to the side. Revealing our team to the five generals that were sitting at a long conference table in the room in our school that looks like a globe folded in on itself.
I gulped as I looked around the round room; there were circles all around it on different towns, with one x. It was fresh, the paint still had to dry. “Leo, Skip, what in the Hells did you guys do?” I whispered, averting my eyes from the five old, leathery men who stood before me.
“Exactly what we told them not to!” General Toumoku barked in his gruff voice. He pushed his once raven black hair back; he showed a scar he got while fighting his own people as a spy in WWII, it was a long gash running up and down the left of his face. He told the US many things about Japan and their plans, but the attack at Pearl Harbor was not one of them.
“What would that be?” I questioned, getting a look of death from the old geezers and a slap upside the head by Kiera. “What did I do?” I muttered, rubbing my head.
“I will humor you, today. They were supposed to capture the uncrowned prince of The Lost Ark. Instead, they killed him!” General Toumoku snapped, his wise old eyes cringing in disappointment. “Disgraceful, even I could have preformed a simple task like that.
“He was unarmed and was alone in an ally way-“ the old general was cut off, by the, so far, silent Leo.
“Sir, he was unarmed, but he had something unknown. It looked like something from a sci-fi movie, or a weird comi-con!” he screamed, the one thing he hated… injustice….
“Be that as it may, you are still trained in ranged arms, are you not?” Toumoku said to him, slamming his fist on the table and causing several maps to fall off of it. “Why didn’t you aim for his arm, or leg!? Incapacitate him!” Toumoku fumed.
Ah, The Lost Ark: a version of the Black Market that involved more dangerous stuff, a mafia of sorts. This has worked it’s way into the government of many, many countries, Now, it’s even started to work on the UK and USA. All of these things will be explained soon, I promise.
