The interesting thing about adventures, is they can start in the strangest of places, for the strangest of reasons. Be it in a restaurant, a foreign planet, or in the psyche ward of a hospital. Most adventures will start when one is least suspecting an adventure to beging. This isn't one of those adventures. Your adventure starts now. The three adventurers arrive at the bar, each at a different time, having never met eachother in the past. Despite this fact, they are all here for the same reason, they seek adventure. Taverns, as most adventurers are aware, are the best places to find employers and to hear rumors. So only logically, the beginning adventurers proceeded there first. The sound of a drunken rant can be heard from the middle-aged man at the table, while his companions nod slightly, apparently only half paying attention to what the man is saying. The elderly man at the counter, listens to an unknown person's story, his mind also seeming to be on other, more troubling things. The faint sound of a lute playing outside can be heard inside the bar, however it is barely audible over the man's loud rant.

Octavious takes a seat at the bar, not ordering anything but a glass of water. She scans the room, pretending to be tired and oblivious.

Jiaal just sits back, waiting for something interesting to happen. A fight or something she can join.

"And so we brought the gem to the king, only to discover that it wasn't actually magical, and that the necromancer was just messing with our heads all along!" The bar-dweller finished, glancing momentarily at Octavious as the ranger sits beside her. The bartender nodded slightly, not really paying attention to the chatty customer. "Would you like something to drink?" The old man asked, glancing worriedly at the door. "We've got a variety of drinks for sale." "I recommend the ale..." The psychic said, leaning in closer to Octavious. "All of the drinks here taste the same, but the ale's the cheapest..." She whispered, recieving a scowl from the bartender. "Did ya hear about the happenings at Spiritfledge?" The man at the table asked loudly. "All kinds of monsters 'ave been showin' up. I've heard it's the work of those 'Beast Master' creatures, you know, the flute players that 'ave been comin' from the east." "I've heard that they're not actually human, that they're demons from another plane of existance!" The young monk said excitedly, leaning forward on his chair. "And that they're immortal and can gain control of any creature, human or animal, if they play their music." "Ah, you guys know that it hasn't actually been proven that those creatures actually exist..." The waitress interupted. "It's probably just bad luck that monsters have started moving into the city..." "No-one asked for your opinion!" The middle-aged man snapped, glaring at the waitress. "She's so beautiful..." The young man thought aloud, staring at the waitress from his spot by the wall, oblivious to all around him.

Jiaal looks at the boy at the wall, laughs, listening to the men's conversation still. Nothing to but into yet.
