So, as you can see I've written an extensive setting for this roleplay to take place in. There are people, places and cultures for you to base your character around. I think a central information center really helps a roleplay out. I've done a lot of roleplaying in the World of Warcraft, and one thing that always bugs me is how Blizzard never really explains some very important, basic information about each race and class. It creates clashing stories and characters, causing people to keep to their circle of players who agree with them, and avoid everyone else.
That being said, I intentionally left a lot of open room for you to create, as a player. I mention several hundred times in the setting thread that there are too many cultures to count. That means you can create an entire culture for your character to hail from. How they eat, look, act, feel, think. It's all up to you, if you choose to create your own culture. And, if you do and everyone likes it, I'll put it up in the People of the Port section in the setting thread.
The only thing I ask, for the sake of continuity is that you don't contradict any of the information in the setting thread. For example, I say in there that robots with AI are used only by the Angels. That means your character doesn't have an AI buddy or advanced AI in their personal computer unless he/she is an Angel.
I don't like rules and I don't like ultimatums, but I think it's very important that we're united in our story, otherwise everyone is telling their own story and no one is listening to anyone else.
Thanks for reading! Keep at it!
