(So the story is not finished... whats new?)
Revolution…
Rebellion…
Revolution…
Revolution and rebellion… These people cannot make up their minds. The king gave off a proud grin as he reminded himself why Earth was perfect. Earth was a planet divided. Different languages, borders, bickering were strewn across the globe and there were resources galore. It was a beautiful thing to the bird-like king and his people. He was even more amused at Earth’s thought of other worldly men: tiny green things. Feathers on his neck and head rose as he laughed at the foolishness of Earthlings. It was a perfect place indeed. The planet will be all too easy to take control of. His colorful plumage stayed erect as even more confidence grew in the ruler.
Around the deck, other, much less profound, bird-like humanoids were momentarily distracted from their stations by the king’s vocal thoughts. The race was a proud one. They were undefeated, never setting out of a task they were unsure of and always looking toward Earth with a cocky eye. They knew the green planet would be theirs soon… very soon.
The king stood, dressed in a blue and gold, and intricately designed robes, perfectly straight. He stood in front of a thick window, staring at a massive ringed planet. It didn’t impress him.
“This system is one of midgets,” His voice echoed across the deck. “I do not understand how they are so in awe over these so called ‘might giants.’”
“Lord Eagluss,” his adviser spoke from behind him, “This is all they know. They have only just started discovering things beyond the little one. Pluto, I believe.”
“And they believe that aliens are little green men. Earth is too slow for their own good,” Eagluss turned to his adviser, “In a sense, we are helping them. Their crimson brother was like them. He was an easy feat years ago and Earth with be no different.”
“In that light, their retaliation will be amusing, will it not?”
“It will, Feathail. They are primitive and stupid,” The king turned back to the window, a moon was now in view.
It was midnight. Steven peered through his telescope. Saturn had been his latest obsession. Planet U, by the way things were going, would probably be next. He called it U due to the jokes about the poor planets name. Brett, his brother, tossed a baseball in the air near by, teasing their dog.
“Why do you need me out here wile you look at the stars?” Brett asked in a bored tone.
“I want you to see something,” Steven adjusted the telescope a bit. “Here, have a look.” Brett looked.
“Oooh! A tiny dot next to a big dot. So what?”
“That’s Saturn.”
“So?”
“And the smaller dot wasn’t there a few minutes ago.”
“So?! It’s a moon or something.”
“I don’t think so, Brett,” Steven pulled his brother away from the telescope, “It’s too big.”
“Steven! It’s a moon, stupid! Stop watching the Sci-Fi Chanel,” Brett shook Steven and walked away. “I’m telling mom to block it and that other science channel that you watch in the morning.”
Steven sat on a lawn chair, the golden retriever coming to his side. He pet the dog before laughing. It probably was a moon. He rubbed his eyes and watched the dog go sit by the door. He followed the animal, letting them both in.
Morning came fast. It was partly because Steven only got four hours of sleep and he set the alarm for six o’clock every morning. The boy got dressed quickly, heading downstairs in time to hear Brett actually telling their mom to block the channels.
“It was a moon,” he interrupted. His mom stared at him funny while Brett gave him an idiot face. “It was a moon.” Steven gave them smirks and retreated into the kitchen, taking the newspaper with him. ‘Tension Grows’ was the entire headline. It talked about the disagreements every single country has been having with one another. The only allies there were anymore were small countries, if that. Steven figured World War III was just days away. It’ll start over the huge issues, and then brake up into personal matters. It’ll start with the superpowers and end with the little countries. His paranoid history teacher thought it was an ‘alien plot,’ including the technological advances.
Think about it says Mr. C. Technology is making things easier for humans, so they’re becoming lazier and lazier as the years go by. It’s getting to be where no one goes anywhere anymore. Pretty soon, when double-u double-u three starts up, the aliens will just waltz in and no one will know what hit us until it’s over.
Steven’s reading and thinking was brought to a halt by a hearty slap on the head from Brett as he passed by.
“The dork reading the newspaper only said it was a moon because he wants to watch his Sci-Fi,” Brett poured himself a glass of orange juice.
“He realized it was moon,” Steven went back to reading, “You know there’s supposed to be a meteor shower tonight?”
“I got plans.”
“Supposed to be big.”
“And you’ll try and convince me that one of them is a UFO.”
“I’m just giving you a heads up, in case your plans have anything to do with Vanessa,” Steven didn’t look up, taking the UFO quip he probably deserved. Brett scrutinized him, thinking about it.
Eagluss continued to look out the window at a new planet. Its single ringed of dust made him chuckle. He had never seen anything so funny. A planet with one ring, countless moons, and a red blemish along with striped and swirls of brown. This system was not only small; it was comedic in so many ways. This planet, which he dubbed Juggler, was his favorite. It wouldn’t be long until they’d be able to see the belt. Earth was just two days away.
“General Biak,” the king called.
“My lord,” the general, who had just entered, stood stiff and tall.
“Have we an update from our team ahead?”
“Yes, your majesty,” General Biak came forward, “They will arrive at ten o’clock Earth time, tonight. There is a meteor storm that will be the perfect cover for them.”
“Very good,” Eagluss gave a satisfied grunt. “After we take over you will have first pick of territory.” He felt generous to the top general.
General Biak bowed and turned to the crew member he came to speak to. He was a short, husky humanoid, resembling a dark pigeon. His uniform was decorated with badges of achievements on his chest and a long and intricate symbol on his right arm. In words, it was ‘Alpheta.’ It showed everyone that he answered to the king only and on very, very rare occasions had the authority to make a judgment and action without his consent. It was a position the king appointed and removed himself and a position not to be abused.
(And I want you to finish it. They do it on Neopets and some other places. Finish the story. Make it interesting. Post as little as a five sentence paragraph or as mush as I did.i put it here cause it is a story and critique is expected =D And well... Eagluss will ofcourse win in the end)
